Research

We conduct market research on a continuous basis, to sharpen our product, and at the same time, publish research that is relevant to the formative years megatrend. The groups of people we speak to are:

  1. Formative years (16-30) - stating the obvious, but we like to understand their preferences. For people aged 16-18, we ask that their parent or carer answer the questions. For young people aged 18 and over, we are happy to have them answer questions themselves. Current sample size is about 5000, but we are happy to have new participants join in, since we have a few people who are in the early 30’s (they were 25-30 years of age when they joined us back in 2018) who need to drop off.

  2. Global Brands - we like to understand how they approach the formative years market. Instead of circling around the bush, we just ask if they have atleast 1 product or service, aligning to the 15 trends (on our homepage) and targeted at the formative years. We get in touch with around 3000 brands, but we are adding more, since we dropped a number of them, due to the three strikes rule. If they have nothing, we only let them answer the survey thrice. After that, there is a 1 year waiting list to get back on our list.

  3. Investor relations - we like to find out about the company’s stance, in relation to the 15 trends that make up the formative years megatrend. Till date, we’ve been in touch with about 100 companies, but always happy to add more. They only provide information they are authorised to provide.

  4. Small and medium businesses - A key element, that has been added in 2024, due to our association with Edinburgh Climate Change Institute. The initial survey has been performed by them, and we are just taking over the data. Our interest is in understanding how they approach the formative years market, and what challenges they face.

  5. CFOs - An instrumental role in how businesses are run, and financed, the CFOs play an influential part in shaping the strategy. We have a small number of CFOs and fractional CFOs currently providing us direction, and how their companies are shaping up to target the formative years economy, and we wish to expand our reach into this group.

  6. CIOs - Chief Investment Officers play an important role in deciding the trajectory of the investments that their company/ institution makes. We have been fortunate to have a fairly large number of CIOs participating in our surveys and offering to speak to us, in the form of an interview. We are looking to expand this reach.

  7. Sustainability professionals - They come in different forms, often with a responsibility in corporate sustainability, but we also have consultants, project developers, and reporting experts on our panel. They provide us crucial (not material non-public information) about the investments and programs that they are taking up. This gives us a huge advantage over our competition, since we are talking to people who have their finger on the pulse.

How am I compensated for my time, in filling out the survey, or answering questions on an interview call?

We kindly ask that you wait for us to consolidate the results. It often takes 2-3 weeks to do this, and confirm that your responses have been accepted. We might email you, in case we need clarifications.

  1. First and foremost, we provide you exclusive early access to the research and seek your opinions. If you feel appropriate, we can call you to discuss your views. If you consent to it, we can have your name, title and company mentioned in our reports. We kindly request that you provide an email with consent to use the company name, from the authorised respresentative.

  2. We offer you free access to Helix 360. You just need to choose a module that you are interested in, and you get 3 months free access. Answer the next survey, and get another 3 months.

  3. We offer you a discount, to purchase Helix shares, and become a shareholder in Helix. End of the day, it is your opinions that shape this business. It is only fair that we offer you the opportunity to be a shareholder. For details on our shareholder programme, please visit the fundraise page. Also be aware that share prices are dependent on the most recent valuation, and tax exemptions such as SEIS/EIS are only applicable to UK residents. We kindly request that you read the full prospectus and consult your financial advisor, before making an investment, even if the investment is for a small amount that you may be okay to lose.
